This exam is extremely popular. A popular training provider lists the 640-802 exam as their second most requested exam. In fact, Cisco has 6 exams in their top 20. Our friends at Microsoft are first with 8.

With Cisco’s market share for routers around 60 percent it is easy to see why. Juniper is second with around 30 percent in case you’re interested.

I would strongly recommend you take the 640-802 exam. It is well respected and challenging. If you need further incentives, a study conducted by Fairfield Research and Certification Magazine shows that getting your CCNA certification can lead to a 12% increase in salary. The knowledge required to pass the CCNA certification exam is among the most valuable skills required in the networking field.
