AWS Certifications.

Why should I look into getting one of the many AWS Certifications?

Market research firm Synergy Research Group reports:

Amazon AWS has 30% market share, compared to the next biggest player, Microsoft, with about 10%. Microsoft is growing the fastest, a 96% year-over-year leap, with Google close behind: 87% year-over-year growth, Amazon AWS is still the dominant company in this space.

There are three main tracks with AWS Certifications.  They are the AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, and AWS SysOps Administrator.  Within the Architect AWS track you have 2 levels of proficiencies, they are AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.

The AWS Developer track has the AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification. The SysOps Administrator has the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate certification.

Both the Developer and SysOps Administrator can also get the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.

Here is a table that explains this more clearly.
